The rules for using UniMate: your account, acceptable use, content disclaimers and liability. Plain language, no legal maze.

The service

UniMate ("the app") is a free educational platform: syllabus tracking, class timetables, an AI tutor, a study library, previous-year questions, mock tests, an attendance tracker, quizzes, a leaderboard, a resume checker and a placement hub. Core study features are free and will remain free.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when registering. One account per person.
• You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity under your account.
• If you believe your account was accessed without permission, tell us immediately through the contact page.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app. In particular, you will not:

• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe the app's systems for vulnerabilities.
• Upload or share unlawful, abusive or misleading content through any interactive feature.
• Copy, resell or scrape the platform's content or systems in bulk.
• Use automated tools to create fake accounts or manipulate the leaderboard and quizzes.

We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these rules.

Study content disclaimer

• Study material, syllabus mappings, timetables and AI-tutor answers are provided for learning guidance. Universities update syllabi and schedules — always confirm exam-critical details with your university's official notices.
• The Nyaya AI tutor explains concepts in simple language, but AI answers can be wrong. Use them to learn, not as your only source before an exam.
• Job listings in the placement hub are collected from public sources and employers; verify details with the employer before applying or paying anyone. UniMate never asks for money for job applications.
• UniMate is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any university.

Availability

We work to keep UniMate running smoothly, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change or be withdrawn as the platform evolves; we will communicate significant changes where reasonable.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, UniMate is provided "as is". We are not liable for decisions you make based on study content, AI answers or job listings — including exam outcomes or recruitment results.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform grows. The "last updated" date at the bottom of this page will change, and continued use of the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
